We made a small thing on purpose.
xakgem.xyz is a single web page with a timer on it. There is no account to create, no email to confirm, no Slack to join, no Discord to dwell in, no streak guilt to manufacture, no notification you forgot to disable. We don't know your name. We can't email you. If you clear your browser tomorrow, we forget you completely — and that, we believe, is how it should be.
We refuse the attention economy.
An entire industry exists to fracture your concentration into auctionable fragments. They call it engagement. We call it theft. To sit still, in 2026, and do one thing for an hour, is to refuse a system that wants every minute of your day sold to the highest bidder. It is a political act. It is also, increasingly, a luxury — and we believe a luxury this important should be free.
Silence can be social.
You don't have to talk to feel less alone. You don't need a chat room. You don't need a community manager. You don't need a daily standup. You only need to know — really know — that other people, right now, in cities you have never visited, are also trying. A translator in Lisbon. A thesis writer in Seoul. A founder in Berlin who hasn't slept properly in a week. We made the counter at the top of the page for them, and for you.
Your data stays on your machine.
The minutes you focus live in your browser's local storage and nowhere else. No cloud, no sync, no shadow profile. We could not sell your data to an advertiser if we wanted to, because we do not have your data. This is not a feature. It is the absence of a feature, which is sometimes the same thing.
This will not become something else.
xakgem.xyz is forty kilobytes of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. It has no servers, no database, no AI assistant, no roadmap meeting. It will not pivot. It will not raise a Series A. It will not be acquired and quietly sunset in eighteen months. The product is finished. Any future changes will be subtractive.
Everything here belongs to everyone.

Run your own xakgem in your own language for your own quiet corner of the internet. Strip the name off and call it something else. We would be honored to be copied. We would be especially honored to be improved.
